In writing in wiki - after a while - you begin to associate meaning and structure with actions. A click opens something - it's sort of like a normal hypertext link on a web site - but a bit funny. You can dig into that.
# Clicks
Ward calls these collaborative links. For my part I think of it as a fuzzy concept - in the good sense of the word. A link is a link - internal or external - but not quite as you know it.
However the act of "clicking" does do something that feels distinct - it is part of the reading experience (not the authoring), and it opens up a page ready to read. Clicks are about the reading experience.
# Drops
A drop feels entirely different. First it's meaning is a lot clearer. When you drop content onto wiki it brings it into your environment where you can (if you choose) edit or fork it. That's it. Drops are for authoring.
